Do Not Go Gentle festival is an annual arts festival, founded in 2012, that takes place in Swansea, Wales.〔http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/wales/posts/do-not-go-gentle-festival-planned-with-dylan-thomas-in-mind〕 The festival is held over 3 days around the Edwardian suburb of Uplands. Uplands is famous for being the birthplace of Welsh poet Dylan Thomas, and the festival has taken its name from the poets poem "Do not go gentle into that goodnight". According to founder Pierre Donahue the event is curated with the idea "It's a festival Dylan might have liked".〔http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/wales/posts/Do-Not-Go-Gentle-Festival-aims-to-keep-spirit-of-Dylan-Thomas-alive〕 The events are held in a collection of small venues that includes bars, cafes and the poets former home at 5 Cwmdonkin Drive. The festival concentrates on literature and music, but also features theatre, film and art.
